Estate Planning

Minnesota Attorneys serving the Twin Cities, Roseville, St. Paul, Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs - Estate Planning.

Estate Planning is an area that is handled by default when it is not crafted by design. The members of the law office of Jane J. Larson & Associates diligently work hard at keeping updated of the ever-changing Estate Planning field. If you have completed all or some of your family's estate planning needs, or if you have only just begun, all estate plans will probably need at least some review due to the 2001 Federal Tax law changes. Because of these changes, it is important to mention that estate planning is not a one-time event, rather, it is an on-going planning process, especially as you and your family's future unfolds and grows.

Depending on your family's size and the size of your estate, we do provide the basic estate planning tools and if needed, we can provide services for the more advanced estates as well.

We can help you plan for the present and the future through the implementation of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Guardianships, and Conservatorships. Our law office is well qualified and equipped to guide you in the creation of a comprehensive estate plan.

Listed below are some of the services we provide:

Wills: Trusts:
Simple Maritalized
Testamentary (Minor Children) Disclaimer
Pour-Over Wills (Trusts) Revocable
Other Documents:
Power of Attorney
Health Care Directive

"Living Wills": What some people refer to as the Living Will is now called the Health Care Directive, it not only explains your wishes if you are in a terminal condition but also if you are not able to speak temporarily because of an accident or unforeseen circumstances and you need medical attention. You can let the Directive itself speak for you or name an agent to work along with your Directive to help doctors make important decisions. All medical entities are now asking for these documents from you before any medical procedure. They are extremely hard to fill out by yourself. We have designed a way to make this as painless for you as possible.

Our attorneys' personal approach to law practice ensures that you will have clear, thorough explanations of the best means to asset distribution of all of your property and other assets, including minimization of estate taxes.
